Description
Was digging through some old artwork, and I had completely forgotten about some Waffle X stuff I did as a sort of vector-art styled comic/storyboard. Found a few good bits and bobs i did I can reference for the next episode, but here is some stuff I didnt use in the first episode, such as the very start.
In the original storyboard, Bob Havaar is woken from his absurd lay in, by the sun beaming through is curtains and right into his eyes. He gets up and yells at the sun. In a static image thats okay, but I found in the animation i needed something more audio based and less hard to define as sun-beams, so the sequence got changed to a noisy magpie.
Anyway, heres a pic that just definies Bob Havaar all over, an obssessive slothful gamer with a distaste for the real world. I quite like the straight edged vectory style (slight Sonic Battle inspired) but it takes a fair amount of time longer than standard drawings as its all in stylised angular poses, so anatomy can go a bit wrong. Oh well, here it is anyway!

Ahahaha, I still remember when you were still in the process of making this drawing XD Can't believe how long it's been.. I'm happy to see it finally posted on your DAland page, though! I always really liked this drawing.. especially with the Sonic Battle-esque style.. I always had a liking to that style.. but it's definitely not like a full-on copy and stuff! I like the element of it ;.; And whoa, are those animay vein-thingies on his hair? I THOUGHT YOU WERE BETTER THAN THAT, MAN.
I love the details all around.. like with the game casettes (god I'm too lazy to check if I spelled that right) hanging about and stuff.. even with one wrapped around Havaar's arm XD Nyarhar. Nice effect with the bold ray of light, too. DID I EVER MENTION how I've always been oddly creeped out by the zipperpants? ":<" I don't know why.. it always hit me as oddly creepy. THE ODD MENACE HIDDEN BEHIND PERHAPS i need to die.
.. His arm looks wayyyy too long in this.. looks like it would easily reach under the shin.. even though arms cannot be that long XD But that's really the only weird thing I see.. nyahhh, and it's not that terribly brand-new a drawing anyway.. pyopyo ;.; Well-done nonetheless! I like it!
