I'm a picky bastard, especially about cherished franchises from my youth. I don't know why SEGA decided to name the forthcoming XBLA/PSN/WiiWare game Sonic 4, but they did, and obviously it didn't live up to expectations I and many others have kept buried deep down inside for 16 years.

So it uses the new style grinning green eyed dork Sonic, clumsy looking animated 3d models and the usual fair for something not being given the attention it should. A debate on another message board forum postured what it could have looked like in HD 2D, and that was enough for me to make this.

Its based entirely on the brilliant hidden Sonic CD Pencil Test viewable here: [link] . I regard this as the very best style and animation of the hedgehog there ever was, so hopefully have done it a modicum of justice wrenching it from messy pencils into digital HD animation.

Also since my previous Sonic animation is the only thing you unwashed masses favourite, HERES YOUR GODDAM DESSERT.
